About PlotSignal
Planning decisions shape the places people live, and they are made in public, but almost nobody finds out in time to have a say.
The information is not secret. Every council publishes a planning register, and anyone can read it and comment on what is in it. The problem is that it is slow to reach you, written for case officers rather than residents, and scattered across a hundred different websites that each work differently.
PlotSignal exists to close that gap. We read the registers so you do not have to, translate what is proposed into language a normal person can act on, and, the part that matters most, tell you how long you have left.
What we believe
- Signal, not noise. An alert has to earn its place in someone’s inbox. Most of a planning register does not.
- Complexity made clear. Explaining planning in plain English does not mean flattening it. The distinctions matter, we just make them legible.
- Reading should be free. Charging people to look up what is happening on their own street would be the wrong product. You pay for us to watch, not for us to tell you what is public.
- Be precise about uncertainty. An application is a request, not a decision. We say so, every time.

We are not the statutory register, we are not a planning consultancy, and we do not give legal advice. Before you act on anything you read here, check it with the local planning authority, and we keep the original reference on every record so that you can.
