How PlotSignal works
Councils publish planning applications to a public register. The information is all there, it is just slow to reach you, written for planners, and spread across a hundred different websites. We fix all three.

Search any address
Start with a postcode. You will see every application we hold nearby, mapped, in plain English, with the comment deadline on each one. No account, no card.

Tell us what to watch
A point and a radius, a whole postcode area, an entire council, or a keyword like “HMO”. Then set the filters: by default we leave out tree works and condition discharges, which are most of any register and matter to almost nobody.

We watch, you get told
We check the registers continuously. When something matches, you get an email that leads with where it is, what it means, and how long you have left, not a case reference.

Act while it counts
If you want to comment, the objection builder walks you through the grounds that actually carry weight in planning law and drafts the letter. Objections on other grounds are set aside by the case officer.
Where the data comes from
Local planning authority registers, which are public records. We normalise every council’s format into one shape, attach coordinates, and keep the original reference and a link back to the source so you can always check.
We do not alter what a council published. The plain-English summary, impact tags, and size band are our reading of the proposal, generated by a fixed set of rules rather than a model, so the same wording always produces the same result.
