What is being proposed
Requesting permission to install a small, 6.93 kw PV solar array on rear portion of the roof at 41 Christchurch Avenue. The roof has two different sections/pitches, a north/south pitch along the front and an east/west pitch on the western side of the detatched home. The array will be positioned on the rear portion, which will has a north west and south west orientation. There will not be any panels on southern aspect in order to maintain the character of the building from the public realm, namely the views from Christchurch Avenue. The array will be installed with 34.6 kWh of battery storage to be housed within its existing shed. The solar will be delivered as part of the re-roofing of the property. The new roof will be comprised of artificial slate to maintain both the character and integrity of the property. The mounting system will be a GSE roof-integrated mounting system.
